Hello Bill, I found your web-site very interesting. I have an air compressor that the previous owner of my home left behind in the basement. He was in his 80’s and left the basement filled with old stuff he collected over the years. The compressor works fine but I would like to clean it up and do some maintenance on it. I don’t have any name on it just a number stamped on the side.

The motor is a “Kelvinator” which I’ve included a photo of the name plate.
Can you tell me who the manufacturer is and what year were they made.
I found it interesting that the tank is riveted and not welded. I’ve taken a photo of the switch that works well and the compressor will cycle on and off at 60PSI.
Thank You for any information you can supply?

No idea what the make is, and I hope another visitor would be able to identify it for you.
I can tell you I would have reservations about pressurizing the tank until it’s undergone a pressure test.
