Champion Information
There is line of Champion branded reciprocating air compressors sold in North America by Gardner Denver. These products are sold and serviced throughout North America by authorized distributors.

There is a another line of reciprocating and rotary screw compressors of the Champion brand offered by Sullair – Australia. They are manufactured in, and sold by, more than twenty distributors and branch locations throughout Australia to provide sales and after-sales support to customers.
They do state that their rotary screw compressors are made in Australia, but I was not able to definitely determine if their recip compressors were too. I have a sneaking suspicion (I hope I’m wrong) that their recips come from the orient, but I am not sure.

Compressor is a CAW1 model made in 2008. Manual available at Quincy Illinois champion Denver Gardner location.
Yeah, looks like an older style vp60. Parts are available for the vp60, but not certain they fit this. Check with the specs attached, if they match up the current parts should fit.
Anybody have any info on a model S champion compressor? I cannot seem to find anything on.
I recently purchased a older Champion (Farm Master – model FM 5A) Serial # 190935 – I was wondering how old it was or how to date it. It seems as it has been neglected and I would like to restore it. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Steve, if there’s a tank check valve, check that. I suspect it’s leaking.
where would that be. and thank you for the help
You are welcome.
Complete info here: https://about-air-compressors.com/air-compressor-parts/ Scroll down the page to the check valve page.
Change your intank check valve
You need to replace the check valve going into the tank . You may be able to remove the valve and disassemble it for a good cleaning .
