McGraw Information
The first question that I must answer is who makes McGraw air compressor? McGraw is a line of air compressors produced by Harbor Freight, another one of their subsidiaries like the Central Pneumatic brand. Harbor freight began its journey in 1977, now 40+ years later they have over 1200 stores and satisfy greater than 40 million customers. This family-owned business has continuously delivered high-quality products and tools to pros and DIYers at prices that are sometimes up to 80% less than their competitors.

One of their recent ventures is the McGraw air compressor series which appears to have come out at the back end of 2018 and start of 2019. This range of compressors is known for their build quality and reliability and has generally received terrific reviews across the compressed air industry since their unveiling.
The running costs, an upfront price, maintenance cost, and the pricing for parts, accessories, and everything associated with McGraw air compressors are truly unbeatable in today’s market. For this reason, they are one of the most used air compressors out there and have no major issues on them that will cause you to have troubles for the most part.

FAQs (Frequently Asked Questions)
The break-in of a McGraw air compressor can be done by first turning the power switch off and unplugging the power cord. Fully open the regulator and drain valve before plugging the power cord in and turning the power switch on. You should then let the compressor run for 15 minutes and air will expel freely through the drain valve. After the 15 minutes have passed, you can turn the compressor off, unplug the power cord and close the drain valve.
McGraw air compressors are known for their quality and reliability while also remaining exceptionally affordable compared to competitors. Manufactured in-house by Harbor Freight who themselves are a very reputable brand in the compressed air industry.

Where did they come up with the MCGRAW name.
I’m looking at the McGraw 21 gallon 175PSI air compressor. My shop doesn’t have electricity so I have a Predator 3500 watt inverter/generator which powers all my tools. Will 3500 watts be enough to start the McGraw 21 gallon compressor?
i need the 2 cooling fans in a 21galon vertical compressor 175psi, one broke and took the other one with it. There is one in the piston leg, and one in the motor button.my email [email protected]
Bummer.
If HFT doesn’t stock it, you may find it on ebay or amazon, if there’s enough demand.
Otherwise, you’ll have to improvise.
Sorry. But good luck.
How loud is this air compressor?
What I would really like to know is, do McGraw compressors have Copper motor windings, or do they use aluminum windings like the other cheap junk?
