XAS 85 Compressor help

by Roger

I have an Atlas Copco XAS 85 175 cf. portable air compressor that runs ok . The issue I'm having is it will not build air pressure above 50psi .

I have adjusted the triangle knob to attempt to increase the air pressure , but with no luck .

The compressor was recently overhauled and were using the atlas copco oil designed for the compressor . the 300.00 oil .

Am I missing an adjustment somewhere that will allow the pressure to be increased to at least 85-90 psi

Any help would be appreciated

Try getting the MPV (Minimum Pressure Valve) serviced or cleaned up. Its a common problem so your local compressor engineer will sort it out for you

Did it work properly immediately after the rebuild, or did this come up later? How much later?

Anyway, first suspect I think would be the unloader (intake) valve not opening.
