Whisper Tech air compressor

My friend has a 4 gallons maximum whisper tech air compressor bought 2 years ago and the pressure stops at 75PSI only and once you remove the air from the tank, it does not restart to rebuilt the pressure back in the tank. It is warranty for 3 years but Canadian Tire does not to exchange it. Can it be exchanged by Canadian Tire and if not what is the problem ??? Thanks.

Can it be exchanged by Canadian Tire? No idea, you'd have to ask them, but if the owner warranty is one year and your friend has had it for two then I would think not.

If the tank pressure is 75 PSI and the compressor stops there, and you bleed down the air, and the compressor doesn't start, how do you know that it always stops at 75 PSI?

Since the normal cut out is apparently 125 PSI, and if that is repeatable then it's likely the pressure switch that's the problem.

I suspect, however, that the compressor will start after it's set idle for some time?

If so, it's a power related issue, but more info is needed.

Please advise.
