Unloader fails and compressor locks up

I have a compressor system that uses an unloader valve on the pressure switch. It works great until there is a power glitch. In that momentary glitch, the compressor stops but the pressure switch is still calling for pressure. So once power comes back on, all in an instant, the compressor locks up because there is too much pressure on it to start back up and the breaker trips. Just wondering if there is a practical solution to prevent this.

Power fail

You compressor is operating normally.

You need to either get reliable power, or buy/build a latching contactor (relay) system that kills power to the compressor in the event of failure. Then you'll need to toggle the power switch on the compressor, and reset the contactor.

Good luck.
