Do you know the ISO or SAE weight?

How long to "warm up" and squeal cessation?

Essentially what Bill said.

Have you checked the belt tension and alignment?

Squealing A/C

+15 degrees F or below. Using a light weight synthetic oil. belt dressing did not help for a trouble shooting indicator. Yes I know it is asking a lot of the compressor.:) Appreciate your help.

Sandborn squealing noise

How cold is cold? There's a page on the troubleshooting page on this site about what happens to compressors when they get really cold.

I surmise that the cold is causing pump sluggishness, could be the oil or the internal lube, but that's overloading the motor, the motor is strong enough to drive the sheave anyway, so your belt is squealing.

Possible?
