square d switch depressing unloader valve

Hello,i replaced the square d pressure switch on my old craftsman compressor. The old switch has a set screw where the unloader valve sits, the new one, however, does not. When it is in the "on" position,it depresses the unloader valve, leaking air non stop. Is there any way to adjust the lever on the new switch, other than bending it? Thank you.

Always on unloader

Jim, that seems more than a little odd.

If the unloader valve is part of the new switch, you would think that it would be mounted so that when the switch was off, the unloader valve would be opened, and the reverse.

If the unloader is leaking when the pressure switch is off, maybe it's not the unloader valve, but your compressor tank valve. If the compressor tank check valve is leaking, when the switch trips to off and the unloader valve opens, all the air would leak out of the tank.
