Schulz oil less dental compressor 12/100 noisier

by Bill B.
(Bufalo NY)

Dear Sirs:

Recently my Schulz compressor became louder on one side (it is dual). It is oil less, and I'm thinking the lubrication is wearing out. Can I get a lubricant into the piston on it?

Schultz compressor became louder

I doubt if it's a lubricant problem.

The symptoms sound like a valve is failing or the piston ring might be compromised.

Since it's a dental compressor, assuming you are using it for Dentistry work, not only is putting oil over the piston an issue with getting lube into the air stream and patient's mouth, but a badly leaking piston seal may be allowing the factory lube to do the same.

You might try contacting their distributor here: http://www.schulzaircompressorparts.com/
