Resurrect old Compair Kellogg Hydrovane compressor

by ICS
(St. Louis)

I have been working on all kinds of air compressors for over 20 years and have seen it all. I ran across an old Compair Kellogg Hydrovane compressor recently that a customer wants me to bring back from the dead. The only numbers I can read on it are the ones on the air end proper. We are a Hydrovane service/sales center in St. Louis and I have not had much luck getting a manual for this one, but this one is very old and was made before Gardner Denver bought Compair Hydrovane. I contacted GD first but they can't really do much because it was before their time.

Model: 11808-000
SN: 3HV574111/1

I just kept contacting different reps at GD until I got one of the Compair guys that has been there a long time and knew.

That helps...

How'd you find that out?

And thanks for letting us know!

found it it's a Compair Kellogg Hydrovane 128
by: ICS

It would seem that it is a 128 model. They changed the model numbers after that one was manufactured. The only problem I have now is the oil filter manifold is different from what the manual is showing, but it won't be hard to find the correct oil filter.

That's a weird number.

You're pretty sure it's a Kellogg?

Maybe you could prevail on someone at G-D to look harder - they've come up with info on acquired company machines before...

Anyway, good luck.
