speedaire intercooler replacement - proper way to attach the pipe?

Had to replace the intercooler pipe, is there a proper way to attach the pipe. I seem to be wrestling with it. Thanks

I have a Speedair Model# 3Z323 1hp. 110vac Single phase

I have a Speedair Model# 3Z323 1hp. Single phase, it starts and will run fine, then as the air pressure builds the motor starts to slow down, then the thermal switch shuts motor off.

The motor has one 110vac 782 MFD and one 16 MFD @ 236vac.

With the drive belt off the motor runs without shutting off. Only when under load (Air Pressure build) the motor will shut off

William, I would be cleaning the intake filter. I would make sure that the power supply is clean.

I would then do a capacitor check. (see link from site map)

Clearly the motor is responding to increasing load, but we need to figure out if the load is being caused by the pump (maybe intake and pressure valve failing), or by an electrical / motor issue.

The checks will help. Post any further info here as a comment, if you will.
