Problem w/ 3 Rol Air Compressors shutting down

by Lee

Our roofing company owns 3 rol air 9-gallon compressors. We are having the same issue with all three compressors. Once the compressor reaches the max psi, the honda engine shuts off.

FYI, one of the compressors is less than 2 weeks old. We spend approximately $200 every time we put them in the shop for this issue.

Please advise.

4 rolair compressors.
by: Steve

I have three gas rolair compressors and one electric.

Usually running four guns on each crew.

The new electric is a single tank 20 gallon.

Kicked ass for the first month. After that the loader valve (I think it's called ) blows out at 80 psi and won't go any higher.

3 gas units all get to max pressure then all die out.

They will restart once we drain some air out of em. The loader valves seem to be blowing out a lot more than before as well.

Can you get it to idle? Like after it shuts down, can you restart?

Where is the throttle? Open or at idle?

Since it's a kit, the the throttle control may be the problem. Also possibly the pilot valve, but less likely.
