Parts missing pancake compressor model 223844

I own a Task Force pancake compressor model 223844. It's been in storage for a long time. It seems that a couple of parts are missing and I am hoping to find an illustrated manual to see if I can identify what is missing so that the parts can be replaced prior to operating once again.

One seems to be the air filter, and the other I have no idea but it fills a hole on the top surface of the silver aluminum housing that the cooling fin housing mounts to. Not sure what that is. I looks to me as if it might me an oil fill location possibly.

Can you help me identify these issues????

About Air filter and oil cap
by: Truwriter

I have that model as well and what you are describing is the oil fill cap. The original was just a plastic plug and you can make one that needs to fit snugly but do not make it from anything that might shed plastic or metal into the oil case.

The other is the Intake air filter. I need to replace the whole assembly which is three parts. The company part number for the oil filter kit is E1000846 and that is the metal housing and the filter element. Sears parts does not have it, don't know who does yet. I need the whole assembly as mine is bent.

A note though about the compressor. As long as you don't have to put a lot of money into making it run, it can be worthwhile. Mine runs my nail gun well enough but I don't do major jobs and don't know if the pancake tank can keep up with putting on siding all day.

Hope this helps, I am looking for parts but realize that I may have to make them.

You might find the filter element on any sites selling parts for small gas engines, that is where I am going to look.
