P185 won't start after winter storage

I bought a 1997 Ingersoll Rand P185 tow behind air compressors last fall it ran very well. I used it for about 8hrs total before putting it away for the winter at which time I added diesel stabilizer.

Tried starting it this week 1st charged the BATTERY and plugged the block heater for few hours. The outside temperature was 40F and sunny.

The John Deere diesel cranks very well buy will not fire so I gave it a quick shot of ether, it fired a couple time but seem like the diesel fuel is not getting to the combustion chamber. Theirs no leaks the fuel filter is full. I found a small thumb pump beside the diesel fuel filter so i gave it about 4 pumps cranked it again but still not firing.

I don't have a owner's manual for the unit, looking for any suggestion or where to find a trouble shooting guide on line. Does anyone know how many times you should push the thump pump?

P185 no start

I take it there's no ether start button or glow plugs? If glow plugs, are they working?

Did you run it after you added the stabilizer so it had a chance to get to the injectors?

You may have to keep using the thumb pump until your thumb hurts or it starts...
