I’ve had this compressor for a few years now but randomly it just lost power

I can turn it on and it starts up but then slowly just quiets down as if it were shut off.

Art, you say “I can turn it on and it starts up but then slowly just quiets down as if it were shut off”.

Does it stop? If it stops, then it’s shut off. If it’s shut off, and the motor works, then it’s likely the pressure switch.

A pressure switch will not meter the flow of electricity, so if the motor is slowing down, and then stops, I’d guess at a motor problem.

Not enough info in your post to give you any more ideas at this time.

Thanks for your response bill when it slows down it is doing nothing but power switch is still in the on position. I can try to upload a short vid of what it does. i will work on posting that up shortly.

Thanks for you suggestions.
