I have a Westinghouse Air Brake Co. (WABCO) circuit breaker compressor, I just acquired. The tank has this info, and is also dated 1970. The motor is also a Westinghouse 2hp 20v single phase…. the compressor head is a v Twin 2 stage, with a tag that says:”CompAir co. Sydney, OH”
Model 100 w8I

I have searched to the end of the Internet trying to find it listed for parts, or a manual, or comparable compressor heads that utilize the same parts, but nothing! Any and all help would be SOOOOOOOOOO APPRECIATED!!!!

I think you might get something from any of either Westinghouse, LeRoi or Dresser if you ask.

Leroi-Dresser parts should work.

This would cross-reference to a smaller Leroi-Dresser compressor. 2hp is getting pretty small.

The smallest ones I worked on like this was a Leroi-Dresser 400, which is around 3hp I believe.

This is a superbly built unit, so it is well worth fixing.

I have an air compressor that may be considered historic. I would rather give it to someone who appreciates it rather than take it to a salvage yard. Compressor is two stage, don’t see a nameplate, but tank, compressor, pressure gauge, and motor all marked Westinghouse Air Brake and tank ASME nameplate shows 1944 build date and 200 psi WP. Unit tipped over and damaged motor slide rails, compressor intake silencer, and gauge. Any interest? Free but have no means to transport. Can send more pictures if needed.

Hi Carl, I also have a Westinghouse Air Brake compressor, model 3YC. I live in the Dallas Fort Worth area, where is the compressor located? Thank you, Jim

Thanks for the message! But I’m a long way from you in California about 50 miles south of Lake Tahoe. Twain Harte is the name of the village.

I found parts for a Westinghouse Air Brake compressor 1AYC from AirFlo Inc. Ken is real helpful with drawings, parts and help.
Hope this will help a little!!
