F3S33VWD/516-051 compressor won't pressurize

My compressor is a Husky Brand, Model# F3S33VWD/516-051, 33 gallon tank, 1.7hp motor.

The problem is that after initial starting of compressor, it will run until the pressure is around 50 - 75 psi. It then shuts off, and will not come back on until it has sat for quite some time, 10-30 minutes.

At times, it won't come back on at all, until maybe the next day.

Was working fine, nothing has changed, been plugged into same outlet since new, with no problems until now.

I've replaced the on/off switch cause it looks to have overheated, melted and burn looking.

Disconnected the pressure switch, still same problem.

Where is the Thermal Overheat Switch and is it replaceable on this model (516-051)?

F3S33VWD/516-051 won't build full pressure

I suspect your motor thermal switch us just doing its job, which is to protect the motor.

If you haven't already, I'd check the capacitors. I think there is a good chance it's either bad, or somehow became disconnected.

Here's how:
