Dewalt D55146 upper limit on regulator

I have a Dewalt D55146 and the regulator will only adjust up to about 165psi. I need to get 180-190psi out of the unit. Is there a way for me to do this with the current regulator or a way I can bypass the regulator and use an external regulator?

Dewalt D55146 Good question
by: Doug in s.d.ca.

There are conflicting answers from DeWalt. One suggests it should go to 200, another says 150.

So you might try asking customer service, but I expect they'll say no, or 150, or 165.

If the tank pressure is getting to 200 or above, and the regulator is limiting your pressure output, and you can't get a bigger (stronger) spring for the existing one, you'll probably have to remove the entire manifold assembly and rig up something external.

Good luck.
