Dewalt 8 gallon wheelbarrow compressor

Dewalt 8 gallon wheelbarrow compressor with a honda gx160 engine. The engine cranks up first pull like a kitten and runs perfect for 30 seconds flat until tank pressure reaches 20 lbs then engine stalls and dies out. It wont start again till i drain tanks and then it cranks up again to repeat the same process again and again. I removed belt from pump and engine will run fine. What do i need to do from here ?

Is there restricted/bad fuel?

It's lugging down, right?

Maybe check the check valve (usually at or near tank end of pump tube).
