Crafstman Compressor 919.176330 with leaking regulator

I have an older Craftsman compressor (recently purchased on Craig's List), model 919.176330.

Everything seems to work pretty well, but there is a leak from the pressure regulator. I have checked on line for parts and they no longer seem to be available. Unfortunately the regulator is built in to a housing coming out of the tank and does not appear to be replaceable with an after-market regulator.

I have down-stream pressure regulators/filters in my system. I have not yet tried to take it apart, but after reading another post on this forum is seems like there may be a rubber gasket that is worn out.

Can the built-in regulator be removed and sealed in some way?

Thanks for any help with this.

Leaking regulator
by: Bill

The short answer is probably yes.

The longer answer is, since we cannot find a clear image of the parts affected on your Craftsman, please start a new thread, refer to this post, add 4 photos of the area of the manifold that has the regulator, from all sides if possible, and we'll see if we can offer up some help.
