Compressor will not build pressure after replacing V-pump with a new unit.

I replaced the V type pump with a new unit after the old one seized. It came with a pipe connecting one head to the other.


However the output was on the wrong size so I switched the L fitting to the other side.

Is there something special about these tubes as far as the direction of air flow? The pump sucks in air through both filters, but builds no pressure at all.

Hard to say for sure, but often an l-shape fitting contains a check valve.

You can simply blow into the openings to determine if any of them are one-way.

Need a make/model number for the pump.
