Compressor for air brush

I want to do some air brushing on the cheap. I see I can get air brushes that run at 30 psi. My friend has a 40 psi compressor. Can I use the compressor with the air brush or do I need to add some kind of needle?

Thanks,
Chris

Compressor for air brush

Not an unusual question, Chris, which is why I answered in detail here:

As to "needle", not sure what you mean. If you mean air regulator, to lower the pressure to the level your air brush needs, if the other compressor doesn't have one, then yes, you will want to use one. See the regulator pages if you aren't sure what they are and how they work.

After your review of that page, if you still have a question, please add it as a comment.
