Compressor blowing air out of start valve

I have a Central Pneumatics 21 gallon vertical air compressor- I think it is model 61454.

Just about everything has gone wrong with it; it is made to be cheap, not good.

I've replace the pressure switch and the check valve, and it is working now but it won't reach working pressure - it reaches about 80psi and then just keeps on running.

There's a lot of air blowing out of the cold start valve. Is this normal? It doesn't seem right to me!

Normal? No.

Is it in the cold where it could be frozen open?

If not, you can R&R, try cleaning. Otherwise, you can usually just plug it. If it then has trouble restarting, you'll need to replace it.

Good luck! Let us know it goes, please.
