How do you check the oil on a Speedaire 4B237 compressor? No dipstick!

Found the oil level sight glass

Thanks guy's. It is a sight glass. I overlooked it as the unit is installed in an area where you cannot see the glass so very hard to get to.

Oil level 4B237

The pictures I've seen show an oil fill plug, and that fill plug sure looks like a dipstick.

Is there nothing in the oil fill hole on your 4B237?

If you're certain you're not overlooking a sight glass, then I'd guess the dipstick was lost or broken.

Dayton might be able to help - Grainger doesn't seem to have them. But I didn't look very hard...
