CH runs to 30 psi shutdown.

Have CH 5 hp 20 gallon just wondering should cylinder and copper tubing to tank get so hot
that you can put a little water on it and just sizzles so hot will burn you?

Reading your other comments I've figured it to be bad pistons or motor overheating just was wondering valve and tube was supposed to be that hot. Probably cheaper to just get a new compressor?

Well Jeremy, your original title refers to the compressor shutting down at 30 PSI, yet your question has to do with the hot pump and tank feed tube.

If your compressor gets much hotter than normal, is it running longer than normal to cut?

Or, is your compressor never getting to the cut out pressure, keeps running, and gets so hot?

I couldn't tell from your question.

See the troubleshooting pages on this site about air compressors that won't build pressure for things to check, and, if I've got it wrong, please add a comment here with more detail about the compressor problem.
