Central pneumatic 2.5hp compressor keeps kicking the reset switch

I have a central pneumatic 2.5hp 21gal air compressor from harbor freight its about 5months old and VERY LITTLE use.

When it's very cold out I have to heat it up before it will work but it still keeps popping the reset quite often, sometimes it stays running for awhile but most times not!

I have to turn the power switch off wait about 10 seconds and the push reset, sometimes it will just hum then pop it and sometimes it will run for 30seconds not really consistent.

You think maybe just a weak reset switch? Thanks, Scott

Maybe, if you've been resetting it a lot.

You wouldn't be using an extension cord, would you?
