Brunner Compressor letting off too much air at 120 lbs of pressure.

The Bruner Compressor I have is letting off too much air when it builds to 120 lbs.

I drained the compressor of any water thinking this would help but it didn't.

The compressor usually holds at 120 but when it gets to 120, it will drop 20-25 lbs

Brunner letting off air...
by: Bill

As Doug quite correctly says... first tell us where the leak is.

If you are using 1 part liquid dish soap to 10 parts water (you don't need too much) make sure the compressor has no power going to it as you start the search.

Check around the pressure switch, if this unit has one.

Not knowing how your Brunner is configured, about all anyone can say is you have a leak.

The first thing to know is - From Where?

Listen and/or use soapy water to find the leak.

Tube and pipe connections are a good place to start, but given the likely age of it, your tank may be leaking.

Let us know what you find.

Good luck.
