Found the CORRECT missing bolt for fan
by: bob

I have a 20 gal. Craftsman Air Comp. model number 921-166420 and lost the screw which holds the cooling fan onto the motor. I found the screw at MISUMI. My parts list said that the screw is a LEFT HAND THREAD- M5 x 0.8 X 15mm (I know because I ordered two and both were wrong and had to reorder the M6 which fit) but the truth be known that the screw is a M6 X 1 X 15mm which is located at:

The part number is BCBL M6 X 1.0 X 15MM or when you go to order it: BCBL 6-15. I hope this helps anyone who has gone through what I have gone through in locating this screw with LEFT HAND THREAD. I still don't understand how it came out in the first place but now it has RED LOCTITE around the threads.

Fan bolt

If the bolt is not stripped, try putting some loc-tite or even nail polish on the threads.

Pretty hard to help finding parts when we don't know the model number, Carlos. Please add that as a comment here.
