Bought a used Husky 835522 on craigslist. Guy told me it had a small air leak.

When I got home I noticed it was loud and would not build pressure above 80psi. I tore into it and discovered a blown seal on the piston.

Days of research, calls, and visits to local machine shops and I have found that the only thing I can purchase is a replacement motor (with piston, valve, etc attached) for over $200

All I need is the seal. Has anyone found a replacement seal that will work? Or even a replacement motor with the same bolt pattern? Hoping I can find a used one for much less than $200.

Thanks

I have had many calls on the Husky 835522 type of compressor. Unfortunately, it is a disposable one. I see people get ripped off on CL from time to time.

You may want to try using a caliper to measure that cylinder and then try to find a teflon cup seal.

Hercules Bulldog may be able to get one for you.

Seal Source is another one that might have it.

Take a look at this:

it shows how you may be able to fix yours...Your piston may be different, but probably similar.

Let us know please.
