1600 scfm 150 psi compressor shows not ready to start high vessel pressure on display. pressure gauge shows 0 pressure. machine was started and warmed up, when loaded it came up to pressure and shut down on high vessel pressure. repeatedly tried to clear and restart over the next 2 hours. There is no pressure but continues to show high vessel pressure. Has anyone seen this before.

Pressure?
by: Carl

When you say the pressure is 0 do you mean on the controller display?
I think the "vessel pressure" it’s referring to is in the separator tank (where the oil is) if that doesn’t blow down then it won’t let you start the machine.
It sounds like the vent valve isn’t letting it blow down, possibly the solenoid is stuck? Tap it with a spanner and see if It releases.
You’ll find the blow down valve by following a hose that goes to the air filter (the air that’s blown down is blown through the air filter m)
Hope that helps, please reply to this to let us know how you get on
