Adjust idle control on a CP 9415143 gas compressor

central pneumatic model 9415143 sno066 the type is 323992 (#s off the compressor)

when the gas compressor builds pressure at 150 psi it cycles to idle. but now it kills the engine. I have to bleed the tank down and then it will start. the cut in is 120 the cut out is 150. How do I adjust the idle control. there is an air line that kicks down the idle it seems to work.

Propertyroom.com? CP gas compressor

That one? (just in passing)

Kinda guessing here, but on the ones I've seen, the gizmo that controls the throttle is also the unloader, which on gas powered compressors just means it "throws away" whatever air is produced by the pump at idle.

So I think your issue is that that valve is not working, but it is idling the engine. So the idle isn't the issue, but the back pressure from the tank/valve that's supposed to open when it's idling.

HTH and good luck.

Let us know how you make out with it, please.
