A lot of water in compressor tank

I have a 20 gal 175 psi compressor. There seems to be a lot of water in the tank, I drain it every other day, but water still builds up. What to do??

Compressor tank water
by: Bill

Michael, the amount of water in the tank is a reflection on the humidity of the air the pump is drawing in, the temperature of the compressor pump as it's running, and the hours the compressor runs.

That there is water is normal.

What is not recommended is not draining the tank daily, in fact, in your shoes, I'd be installing an auto tank drain that would open for a few seconds every hour and purge water from the tank.
