2 cylinder 2 stage vs 3 cylinder 1 stage air compressor

Just wondering about your thoughts on which would be a better choice - a 2 cylinder 2 stage vs a 3 cylinder 1 stage air compressor.

It depends a lot on what you do with it, but to strictly answer...

A 3 cylinder one stage has the advantage of simplicity of repair as far as spare parts goes. Bur typically lower pressure, which usually isn't usually required, but perhaps more CFM.

The 2 stage has the higher pressure, but unless you need that pressure, may not be worth anything.
