1942 curtis model 95

I just got a 1942 curtis model 95 . i have the whole serial number if you need it. i did not recieve a motor with it. it has a 3 belt flywheel .

i am currently using a baldor 5 hp 1725 rpm motor on my old compressor and want to know if i can use it on this curtis.

also the unloader valves on top of the disc valves . I dont need those any longer?

so can i just leave them at where they are?

also the manual little valve down on the side of the crankcase that has plumbing to the top of the low pressure unloader valve what does that do? what should i do now with it thanks

According to this post, if you haven't already found it, yes. https://www.garagejournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=156066

If you have a separate unloader, no, you can block or leave them, depending on if they are closed.

Not sure - the guy on the above link probably can clue you in...

Good luck and have fun.
