According to the Grainger website, this model pump uses a 1 or 1 1/2 HP motor.
Do verify with them, however.

Darren, not a lot to go on, here.
While it's running for 30 seconds, is the pump running? Are you getting any pressure build up in the tank at all?
Before you start it again, make sure that you don't have other things pulling power from the same circuit at the same time, dump all the air in the tank to zero PSI, close the tank drain, and then try to start it again.
Anything different?

Obtained a used SpeedAire Direct Drive Compressor Model 5Z032A, 1 HP. Whoever had it before, disconnected all the 115V AC single Phase wiring. Looked for wiring information for the pressure switch to assure correct connections. Searching for same got me nowhere. Is there a wiring diagram available? Perhaps I really need a manual of some sort? Any help will be much appreciated.
Thanks, Bill H

Hi Bill. Did they leave the pressure switch on the compressor. If so, look under the pressure switch cap. There is often a wiring diagram there.
Or, go to the local compressor store, look for their pressure switches, and have a look at one of them. The wiring diagram will be there, for sure.
Cheers,
Bill
