wiring : I want to wire 2 air compressors to work together properly

I have 2 HD old 220v compressors , both similar , I need a wiring diagram to wire them up. they are on 2 separate breakers and have wall mounted solenoid switches. both units have standard pressure swithes mounted on them. there is a delay box in one of the wall mounted relays that delays the start of the motor so that they both won't start up at the same time and overload the panel. is it possible to use both pressure switches? they were previously wired only using one pressure switch. ???

To me, it doesn't make sense to wire them together. It makes more sense to me to have the second one kick on when the pressure in the first cannot keep up with demand.

See TWO COMPRESSORS linked from the site map.

If you really must have a wiring diagram to wire them up together, you'll need an electrician, or a kind website visitor to help. I can't.

Cheers,

Bill

I want to do the same thing. It sounds to me that you have what it takes to wire it up. A delay box and separate circuits. What do you want to change?
