DEVEBLISS MODEL #FB412-1 WILL NOT BUILD ANY SIGNIFICANT AIR PRESSURE NOTHING IS SHOWING ON EITHER GUAGE. ALTHOUGH IF YOU PULL THE RELIEF VALVE SOME AIR IS RELEASED. REPLACED BROKEN AIR INTAKE FILTER AND NEED TO KNOW WHAT ELSE COULD BE CAUSING THE PROBLEM .WHAT WOULD YOU SUGGEST I CHECK NEXT. THANK YOU.ED

Ed, when the compressor is running, are you getting air puffing out of the intake filter? That indicates that you may have a valve problem.

Other than that, I suspect a gasket failure that's simply allowing air to cycle back and forth without getting pushed down into the tank, as long as the tank drain valve is closed, that is.

Cheers,

Bill

AIR IS PUFFING OUT OF AIR INTAKE
by: ED B

BILL, THANK YOU FOR POSTING SO QUICKLY .AIR IS PUFFING OUT OF THE AIR INTAKE. I REMOVED THE HEAD AND THERUBBER GASKET DOSEN'T LOOK THAT GREAT I WILL REPLACE THAT . ALSO IN THE MIDDLE OF THE HEAD THERE IS A TOUNGE SHAPED METAL PIECE COVERING 3 SMALL VALVES IT DOESN'T LOOK LIKE IT IS HOLING THOSE VALVES CLOSED.IS THAT THE WAY IT SHOULD BE OR SHOULD I TRY AND FIND THAT PART AND REPLACE IT?IT LOOKS SLIGHTLY WARPED . I'LL BE LOOKING FOR YOUR SUGESTIONS. THANX ED

Ed, if air is puffing back out of the intake, it's likely the reed valve isn't seating properly, allowing air to flow back out the intake rather than forcing it down into the tank.

Cheers,

Bill
