I have Model 33-566 and want to add oil. What oil do I use in this compressor 33-566?

I believe that pressure vessels, and that includes compressor air tanks, need to be checked regularly after they age.

If your compressor was sitting for 10 years, was there a puddle of water in the bottom of the tank that was corroding it?

I might be a bit concerned about that, it were my Binks compressor.

Checks on old / new compressor

Other than visual checks for loose parts and making sure it's not binding, no.

Have fun.

Oil change
by: Don

Thanks, I do want to change the oil. This compressor is new to me and has been sitting unused for 10 years or so. If you have any other advise as to maintenance before using this thing, please give it, for I know nothing about this compressor, other then it is old.

Compressor oil from the local big box should be OK, or 30 weight non-detergent synthetic.

But, if you don't know what's in it now, you should probably drain it and refill so it's all the same stuff.
