Hello anonymous. Thank you for writing in.

I'm not sure from your question if you are talking about the power supply to the electric motor on your air compressor, or talking about the method by which the unit compresses air.

If it's an electrical question, that's more ably answered by an electrician, yet I think that it has to do with the rating and power supply requirements of the compressor's electric motor.

If you are referring to the way the compressor compresses air, the air from the first cylinder / piston becomes somewhat compressed, then proceeds into the second cylinder / piston where that already compressed air becomes even more compressed, and fed into the air tank.
