what I need to blow a water line out for winterization

by Dave

I have a hunting cabin that needs the water drained out of the lines for winter. It is just two sinks, a toilet and a shower. There is a drain line (copper) that will drain almost all the water via gravity but some water remains in the shower line. All water lines are new copper.

I know I need an air compressor (small), and a port fitting to attach to the female brass drain valve. What else do I need? Do I need an extra hose or will the male fitting attach directly to the air compressor hose?

Thanks,

Dave
