919.152910 - what air flow

by Pat

I have an owners manual pdf for the Sears 919.152910 3.5 HP compressor. I need to find the air flow specifications for this compressor, the manual does not provide them!

Pat, see the pages regarding SCFM and CFM on this site. The discharge flow rate will vary depending on the pressure, yet you can expect to get around 4 CFM of compressed air at 90 PSI for each HP of motor. That's the general rule of thumb.

Sears Twin Cylinder Oil Free Compressor 60 gallon fill time?

by mike
(san mateo)

I have a Sears Craftsman 60 gallon twin cylinder oil free compressor that takes 15 to 20 minutes to fill to about 125psi after it turns on at about 90 psi. Is this a normal amount of time to fill up?

Thanks,
Mike

Nope, it's not normal. See the troubleshooting section, follow the links to why air compressors run but don't build pressure.

A bunch of things could be the reason, and you don't give me or any other visitor enough info to even start trying to diagnose the compressor problem.

Go to the Troubleshooting section on the site map page and read the info about reasons why an air compressor will not start.

After doing the checks noted, if you still have a problem, post a response here saying what you tried, what you found, and we'll see if we can help you figure it out.

Cheers,

Bill
