when pressured up the Husky pro VT6315AJ will not start

by Kenny Siegler
(Willow Park Texas)

A couple of months ago my Husky pro VT6315AJ started to act up on me. When I turn on my air compressor it runs fine up to the correct psi and then shuts off. When it drops down a bit to where it needs to turn back on it then blows the electrical plug. Not the breaker in the box but the safety measure on the plug itself. Is the motor getting weak? Again it starts fine when no pressure or very little is in the tank and then shuts off when it tries to start with pressure in the tank.

Kenny, does the unloader work when the tank reaches cut out?

model# E103774 it is not shutting off

by William E. Glas
(San Antonio)

i have model# E103774 it is not shutting off when on automatic or when the switch is in the off position please help

William, your compresor is a 120 volt, 150 PSI, 25 gallon tank size, from what I've been able to find.

From the poor image I was able to find of the pressure switch, it appears as though this model has a pressure switch with a toggle ON/OFF switch on one side.

If that is the switch that you are referring to not working, and the pressure in the tank of your air compressor is getting up past the 150 PSI normal cut out pressure level, I would suggest that your pressure switch itself has failed.

It sounds as though the points are welded closed, so that the ON/OFF switch isn't able to separate them to cut the power.

Either go to a compressor store with your old switch with you to get a new one, or click the compressed and parts link at the bottom of both side columns on this site and follow the links to pressure switches. You will find a new one there that will replace the one you have now that I believe has failed.

Cheers,

Bill

Husky air compressor shuts off at only 20psi

by Bryan
(New Jersey )

Compressor trips the breaker after only 20 psi. Runs after I reset it for a couple seconds till it trips it again. After the second or third time it won't even come on

No continuous air flow out of hose

by Fred
(Otawa, on, Canada)

Hi, I have a Husky TA-2530B and I don't have continuous air flow out of it.

I have pressure and it works fine when I use an air gun but when I try to inflate a tire that is really flat, I can't inflated it in one shot, I always have to wait for the pressure to come back in the hose, sort of speak.

Even with the pressure gauge taking out I just have a burst of pressure and then nothing. Wait a few seconds and then I can go again for another burst!

Is this normal?

Ask me if you want more details

Thanks in advance

See the troubleshooting section on the sitemap page, Fred. Follow the link to "no air out of hose" for some tips.

Based on what you've provided, my first guess would be that the regulator is failing. However, when you plug in your air gun (blow gun?) you get lots of flow, so that might rule that out.

I don't know what this means... "
Even with the pressure gauge taking out".

Is it the same air line to the tire chuck as you have for the blow gun?
