useing compressed air to clear water pipes

It was suggested to me that I use compressed air to help clear a hot water pipe to my bathroom sink. How do I go about doing this, and is it safe?

Hi Ted. Is the hot water pipe to your bathroom plugged?
Is it safe? As long as the air pressure used to blow out the line is less than the burst pressure of the pipe, sure it is?
How do you do it?
Why not check the site map for references to blowing out sprinkler lines? The concept is the same, and there is lots of info on that on this site.
If the water line is blocked, depending on what is blocking it, the use of compressed air might, or might not be successful.
Good luck,
Bill
