The tank has an ASME tag dated 1985. The compressor doesn't have any numbers that I can see. The person I got the unit from said it would not build pressure passed a certain point. I would like to know if there are any parts available before I waste my time working on this compressor. I have attached four pictures that might help. Thanks for any help.

Herman, if the air compressor won't build pressure past a certain point, there are a few things that typically cause this. They are noted on the troubleshooting page about compressors that run but don't build pressure.

Good luck on finding parts. I hope a fellow owner will post for you.

Others, particularly when it's been a gasket issue creating these symptoms have made their own using high-temp automotive gasket material, and if it turns out to be a valve issue, using the blade of a good quality putty knife cut to size, or feeler gagues, to fabricate a valve.

Cheers,

Bill

Uniguard Air Compressor

Thank you Dave for identifying my compressor. Do you or anyone else have any information on the CFM rating at 40psi and 90psi for this unit? It has a 5hp WEG motor. I might have found the problem with the low pressure. The run capacitor was ruptured and the discharge bolts were loose.

Thanks again Dave.
