Troubleshooting

I have Honda Rol-Air Compressor with 8hp Honda GX40 Max Engine. The Engine runs fine when run with the manual throttle control. But when I throw tab over on the pressure relaease valve the engine should increase speed and fill the tank but if fails to increase it speed. It just idles. The tank eventually fills at idle speed but suts down once the tank ereaches the current 120 psi. Any thoughts on what's causing this?

Eric, I'm no expert on gasoline run compressors.

I think your problem is that the pressure switch isn't interacting with the throttle control, and toggling it up when the low pressure cut in level is reached.

That's what I would be checking.
