Ridgid OF50150TS Tri-Stack 5 Gallon Air Compressor

Greetings,

My Ridgid OF50150TS Tri-Stack 5 Gallon Air Compressor that I have had for two years builds up pressure to 150psi cold start and kicks the thermal override protector off.

The only way to restart the compressor is to relive some pressure and then press the switch back in.

The compressor is only slightly warm... could this be a faulty override protector, starting capacitor, check valve or pressure switch?

Thank you,

-Frank

No doubt, if you haven't changed how you power it (think extension cord, more stuff on the circuit than was on there before).

See the trouble shooting section on this site for pages with tips.
