thermal cut out, reason, if reset how long last the same compressor?

Found a reciprocrating compressor in thermal cut out due by lack of refrigerant, copressor body overheated, ohmed out C-S= OL, C-R:= OL, S-R 5.4 MOHMS, GROUND CONTINUITY OL between tree windings and compressor body. How long can last if compressor resets. 10 years old heat pump system...
