the tools were working fine and it builds air pressure but now all the tools bog down so fast and essentialy wont run like they did. I changed the hose cleaned the filter what could be wrong with it? It is a 60 gallon craftsman that should put out 11.3 cfm at 90psi I believe

Pam, is the compressor cycle time the same? When the compressor cuts in at the lower pressure setting, is it taking longer to get back up to cut out pressure than it used to?

Also, have you added any more air tools? If the compressor, for example, produces enough air for five of your air tools, and you add one more air tool, then none of them will get enough air?

Any comments?

Cheers,

Bill

What about lube
by: Buster

Have you tried adding some oil to the line going to the tools, I don't know what kind of tools you are running, but some oil is essential to some tools.

Air compressor pressure
by: Pam

Hi Bill, Thank you for your quick response. I am only running one tool, one line. As far as the cycling, it does take a little while to go back on but the pressure on the gauge dosent go down too much. No leaks either so I am so lost for solutions to this problem. It is cold in the garage though until I heat it up.

Pam, see the page on Cold Weather Starting under Troubleshooting on the site map page. When things warm up, does the problem go away? Too cold weather affects the compressor and air tools.
