the compressor hums

the compresor hums then pushes out the re-set button..has always worked great ..2 years old

Not a lot to go on here.

Make sure the power supply is clean and hasn't changed.

Try this. Unplug the compressor. Dump all the air from the tank. (Good time to test your PRV) Close drain and plug back in. Did it start?

If so, then read the pages on UNLOADER VALVES linked from the valves page or the site map.

If not, post a comment back here and we'll pursue further.
