So, I take it that the compressor ran on longer than it should have, overheated, and the motor cut out on thermal overload?

Regardless, thanks for letting us know you've got the problem fixed. That will help other Task Force air compressor users, I expect.

Just realized that the compressor one way check valve was the culprit in making the compressor's circuit breaker trip. My spring was broken allowing tank pressure to escape through the unloader valve.

What is the amperage of the breaker for the circuit you plug your compressor into?

Are you using an extension cord?

When you say this... "It will build pressure fine until it reached the cut in pressure" do you actually mean cut out pressure?

Does the motor of this compressor have capacitors? If so, check them. See the page on this site about how to do that.

I have replaced the pressure switch and unloader valve and still cannot get the compressor to operate properly. It will build pressure fine until it reached the cut in pressure, then it sounds like the cicuit breaker is straining and then trips. Could my circuit breaker is weak?

See the troubleshooting pages about compressors that will not restart for solutions.

I would suspect the unloader valve on your compressor is not functioning, as the first thing.
